If you only deliver finished photographs to clients, Pixieset is a mature, well-built choice and you will not go wrong with it. Choose PixMedium if you also want the event itself covered — guests scanning a QR code and uploading their own photographs to a shared wall — without buying a second product, and if you would rather be billed in pounds, monthly, with no annual commitment.

The one real difference
Pixieset’s plans, as listed on their pricing page on 13 August 2026, do not include a guest-upload event wall. Neither do the other established client-gallery platforms. The tools that do offer QR photo walls are sold as one-off purchases to the couple, not to you, and they carry no client galleries or portfolio.
PixMedium sells both to the photographer in one subscription: private client galleries, a public portfolio profile, and QR event walls your couple can use on the day. That combination is the reason this page exists.
Branding on your work
No PixMedium plan — including the free one — puts a PixMedium mark on a photograph in a client gallery. The only mark a client photograph can carry is your own proofing watermark, which you control. A small PixMedium credit sits in the gallery footer, below your work. Guest photographs on an event wall carry a small corner badge on the lower plans; pricing says which.
On 13 August 2026, Pixieset’s published feature table showed: Cannot be removed on the free plan; Basic ($8/$10) is the cheapest plan that can.
Where your photographs are stored
PixMedium keeps customer photographs in EU data centres, and the database and web server sit in Manchester, UK. If a client of yours asks where their photographs live — and clinics, law firms and public bodies do ask — that is a straight answer you can give.
To be precise, because the distinction matters: storing data in the EU is not the same as being outside US jurisdiction. Our storage provider is a US company, so US law can still reach it. We will not claim otherwise.
Where Pixieset is ahead
Worth saying plainly, because you should choose the right tool rather than ours:
- Unlimited galleries on every plan including free, where our free plan limits how many run at once.
- Video delivery, which we do not offer at all.
- A built-in print store with automatic lab fulfilment, coupons and gift cards.
- Around a decade of maturity, mobile apps and a large community.
Which to choose
Choose Pixieset if you sell prints through your galleries, deliver video, or simply want the most established option.
Choose PixMedium if you shoot weddings and events and want the guest photographs collected as part of the same subscription, if you want unmarked photographs on every plan including free, if you would rather pay monthly in pounds, or if EU storage is something your clients ask about.
