Delivery that matches the work
A client gallery is a private web page holding one shoot. You upload the finished photographs, set how the gallery should look, and send a single link. Your client opens it on a phone or a laptop and sees full-bleed images rather than a file list — no software to install, no account for your client to create, nothing to expire silently in a chat thread.
Every gallery has its own address. You can protect it with a password, restrict it to specific client email addresses, or leave it open to anyone holding the link, depending on how private the shoot needs to be.
Proofing, favourites and ratings
Clients can mark favourites and leave star ratings as they browse, which turns the awkward “which ones do you want?” conversation into something you can actually work from. Selections are saved per client, so two people looking at the same wedding gallery keep their own picks and you see both.
Favourites go into named lists — one for the album, one for the parents, one for prints — and the same photograph can sit in more than one. Every pick tells you which list it came from, so a shortlist arrives as a brief rather than an undifferentiated pile of hearts. Where you allow downloads, your client can take a single list as a zip on its own.
You can also let a client share one of their lists as a link — the shortlist for the album sent to a mother-in-law who is never going to sign in. It shows only the photographs on that list, never the gallery. It is on for new galleries and you can switch it off per gallery. You can see every link your client has published and withdraw any of them, and they all stop working the moment the gallery expires or is archived.
Any gallery can be played as a slideshow straight from the photo viewer. It fades from one photograph to the next at a speed you set, dims everything else to black, and stops the moment anyone touches it — useful on a screen at the venue, or for showing the work to someone across a table.
First-time visitors get a few dismissible cards explaining the heart, the lists and the download menu. A wedding client opens a gallery roughly once, and they will not go looking for a control nobody showed them. Switch it off per gallery if you would rather they did not see it.
The order the day happened in
A wedding runs from the morning preparations to the last dance, and a gallery should read that way. PixMedium orders a gallery by the moment each photograph was actually taken, read from the capture time your camera records inside the file — so the sequence is right however you uploaded them, and whatever order your browser handed a hundred files over in.
You can order a gallery by filename or by upload order instead, or arrange it entirely by hand: drag any photograph to where you want it and the new order saves as you drop it. Whatever you choose is what your client sees.
Downloads on your terms
You decide whether a gallery allows downloads at all, and clients can take a single photograph or the whole set as a zip. Because downloads are per gallery, a proofing gallery and a final delivery gallery can behave completely differently.
Design each gallery to fit the shoot
The gallery editor lets you set colours, choose a heading typeface, size and position the title, pick a cover image, and change the grid — column count, spacing, corner radius, frames and shadows. Changes are drafted against a live preview and only go out when you apply them, so a client never catches a gallery mid-edit.
Closing a gallery when the job is done
A client gallery can be given an expiry date, so the link stops opening once the work has been delivered and paid for. Expiry closes access rather than deleting anything — the photographs stay in your storage until you remove them yourself. You can also lock a gallery from further editing once it has gone out.
