Read these before you switch
Every comparison below is written to the same rule: their figures are read from that company’s own published pricing page, dated and linked, and ours are read from our live settings at the moment you load the page — so we cannot quote a price we do not charge.
Each one also has a section on what that platform does better than PixMedium. We are smaller and newer than all three, and a comparison that pretended otherwise would not be worth reading. Figures below were last checked on 13 August 2026.
PixMedium vs Pixieset
Pixieset is the established client-gallery platform and it is good at what it does. PixMedium is smaller, priced in sterling, and bundles the one thing they do not sell: a guest-upload QR wall for the event itself.
Their free plan: $0 — 3 GB. Their entry plan: $8/mo billed annually, or $10 month-to-month — 10 GB.
Where we are stronger: A guest-upload QR event wall in the same subscription, sterling pricing with no currency conversion, and a public portfolio profile at your own address.
Where they are ahead of us: Unlimited galleries on every plan including free, where our free plan limits how many run at once.
PixMedium vs ShootProof
ShootProof sells by the photograph rather than the gigabyte, and it is built around selling prints. PixMedium is priced in sterling by storage, and covers the event itself as well as the delivery.
Their free plan: $0 — 100 photos (they estimate up to 5 GB). Their entry plan: $10.99/mo billed annually, or $12.99 month-to-month — 1,500 photos (est. up to 75 GB).
Where we are stronger: We charge by storage rather than by photograph, in sterling, and bundle the guest-upload event wall they do not sell at all.
Where they are ahead of us: Far more headroom on paid plans — their 1,500-photo plan is estimated at up to 75 GB.
PixMedium vs Pic-Time
Pic-Time is generous on free storage and strong on selling. PixMedium is smaller and cheaper in sterling, and adds the guest-upload event wall none of the gallery platforms sell.
Their free plan: $0 — 10 GB (they estimate about 3,000 photos). Their entry plan: US$7/mo billed annually, or $8 month-to-month — 20 GB.
Where we are stronger: The event wall is ours alone, and our paid plans are cheaper in sterling — though their free plan is more generous than ours.
Where they are ahead of us: A far more generous free plan — 10 GB against ours, and video storage included.
Where PixMedium is different
All three are mature client-gallery platforms with print stores, and two deliver video — we do neither. What none of them sells is the QR event wall: a shared gallery the guests upload to during the event, bundled into the same subscription as your client galleries and your portfolio profile, and priced in sterling.
